"All commands are executed through a graphical user interface (GUI). Users are given the option of allowing the program to automatically fine-tune systems using default settings, or by customized tweaking.

A " GUI profile " option allows users to fine tune their systems according to how they plan to use their Linux box, with pre-defined settings existing in an XML file. Examples include tuning for " Router " and " Webserver " functions, among others.

PowerTweak Linux is based on PowerTweak, a tweaking tool for Microsoft Windows-based systems. PowerTweak Linux was built with many of the same features as the commercial version for Windows, and some collaboration took place between PowerTweak and PowerTweak Linux developers."
