"Okay, we did beta testing, we went with release candidate 1 and
2. We put Vector Linux thru it's paces but it could not be broken.
The installation was a joy to behold, the program mix was perfect
and God is using Vector Linux now. So with little trepidation we
announce the release of VECTOR LINUX 2.5 final.
"Here are some of the highlights: kernel 2.4.17, glibc-2.2.4,
highly automatted installation, new X configuration tools, added
security, improved application mix, better USB support with
hotplugging, choice of scsi ide pentium or i386 kernels, three
installation options, console only, XFree-4.2 or XFree-3.3.6, the
usual bug fixes, and application updates..."
