"With many other new Linux distribution companies grabbing the
headlines recently (Lindows, Lycoris, and others), Linux Orbit
decided to check in with Xandros and see how their Linux
distribution was coming along. Michael Bego, President of Xandros
was kind enough to answer our questions...
"Linux Orbit: As reported on your website, the
Xandros Desktop OS is based on the Corel LINUX 2 release. As many
already know, it was a Debian based distribution. Which current
version of the Debian release cycle are you using with the upcoming
release? Could you give us a little insight as to why you chose
that particular version?
"Michael Bego: It will be based on the current
stable version of Debian (formerly called Woody). It is the latest
and greatest from Debian after hundreds of developers have been
working on it for the last two years..."
