"Rather than try to cover every conceivable angle of Linux World, we opted to focus mostly on desktop stuff (with some odds and ends thrown in). Despite the frigid temperatures, there was a warm Linux buzz inside the Javits center. There's nothing quite like a bunch of geeks banding together and bonding over everybody's favorite operating system.

"Ximian gets our 'Funkiest Booth of Show' award. Awash in palm trees, fake snakes and huts, the Ximian booth stood out like a high-tech Gilligan's Island. Ximian was demoing the latest versions of Ximian Connector and Evolution. While there was nothing earth-shattering in the Ximian booth, we did catch a few details about some upcoming changes to Evolution, Ximian's popular PIM application..."
