"Mel Gorman announced on the lkml that 'this is a beginning of the end release of the VM documentation against 2.4.20 as it contains information on pretty much all of the VM.' He notes that there has been much cleanup and the addition of several chapters since his previous announcement about a month and a half ago.

"The documentation is broken into two sets, together offering an impressively comprehensive explanation of how the Linux VM works in the current stable 2.4.20 kernel.
