"Launched in early 2005, the project has worked very closely
with Nokia to provide a place where developers interested in
working on both the custom Nokia developed Linux OS that runs the
tablet, as well as third party applications to help spruce up the
user experience.
"Well, a lot has happened since then, with three major and four
minor OS versions released, and an eighth one in the oven codenamed
Freemantle, which isn't due to be available until after Nokia
releases their next tablet (little is known of the actual product
name, although 900 and nx-51 are two of the most commonly suggested
names) later this year."
