Gnash Developers and Linux Fund Raise Funds for
OpenStreetMap Bounty
"Linux
Fund and OpenMediaNow have expanded their
partnership with the Gnash
media player development team to bring OpenStreetMap editing
support to the open source Flash® player, Gnash. This work will
also improve YouTube compatibility and joins Linux Fund's existing
effort to bring the Real Time Messaging Protocol support to Gnash.
Linux Fund will be collecting donations to support these features
in Gnash project as part of their on going mission to fund
open-source projects. OpenStreetMap (OSM) is a
collaborative project to create a free editable map of the world.
For more information on how to contribute to OSM support in Gnash
see the Linux
Fund website.
"In addition to direct donations to this cause, community
members can help support all of the Linux Fund sponsored projects
by applying for a Linux Fund
Visa credit card. As a card holder each purchase you make will
contribute to funding development of open source software."
