"Intel turned the Moblin project over to the Linux Foundation earlier this year, but continues to invest heavily in Moblin technology development, and Moblin software can be licensed by anyone willing to abide by the terms of its open source license. But if people use Moblin technology on ARM, won't they be eating Intel's launch, as at least one journalist predicted back in April?

"Yes, but as usual with GPL-licensed open source technology, it's a two-way street. Intel actually stands to gain something significant from any serious effort to port Moblin technology to ARM."
