AllLinuxDevices: Mozilla for Nano-X Launched, Enabling Mozilla for Linux Handhelds and Set-tops.

“Peter Hartshorn has announced the launch of the Nanozilla
project. Nanozilla is a set of libraries that allow the Mozilla
browser to be run with the Nano-X server, part of the Microwindows
project. As a result of these efforts, Mozilla can be run via SVGA
displays and the Linux framebuffer.”

According to Hartshorn, the end result of their work is a
browser capable of running on Linux without X in systems with no
swap memory and only 32MB of RAM. The applications of such a
browser include memory-constrained set-top Internet access devices
and handheld computers.
