    Alta Terra CEO Dexter Dombro, took the time to answer our questions about the value of his product, which doesn't represent new technology for Linux/Palm OS connectivity: it uses jpilot, kpilot, and gnome-pilot along with the underlying pilot-link suite, which has formed the foundation of almost every Palm/Linux app for years.

  • LinuxSecurity.com: New release of the LSM-based SELinux prototype (2001-09-28 15:02:43)
    "The SELinux web site including the mail list archive has been updated. The site includes a new release of the LSM-based SELinux prototype. This release contains many bug fixes and improvements to both LSM and SELinux and is based on the lsm-2001_09_23 patch against kernel 2.4.10. The release includes new and reworked hooks to control additional operations."

  • Ximianized Distribution ISO Images Released (2001-09-28 10:40:36)
    "For all Ximian loving users out there, a couple of guys (apparently from Mexico) have created ISO images of your favorite linux distro that replace the GNOME packages with Ximian's packages. According to their webpage they are working on Red Hat, Debian and Mandrake although only Red Hat 7.1 is available at the moment. They are looking for mirrors too."
