“I became a Fedora contributor after experiencing what
I felt was a highly polished distro and outstanding support from
the Fedora user community – my Fedora profile can be viewed here. I
had attempted to become a contributor for another distro, but the
process required to do so ended up being so long and difficult that
I just gave up and moved on. I felt that, if they really wanted
help, their join process would have been much easier and their
people would have been more helpful.“Becoming a Fedora contributor was easier than I expected. I
followed this link and chose the role of ‘Web Developer’ due to my
experience writing html/css and working with wiki’s. Choosing the
Websites role led me to this page and then to this page. I could
hardly believe my eyes, these pages were laying out a step-by-step
process that users could follow in order to become a member of a
certain Team. After setting up my FAS account and sending the
required information to the mailing list, I was contacted by a few
kind folks to ask me what exactly I was able to do to help the
team”
