“Once again simplifying Linux servers, Cybernet Systems
Corporation today announced its plan to introduce the industry’s
first low-cost Linux-based software for creating a Virtual Private
Network (VPN). The new NetMAX VPN Server Suite is expected to
be the first product to bring secure VPN Internet connections into
general mainstream business use.
The VPN Server Suite has a
breakthrough sub-$500 price tag and the same combination of
simplicity/ease-of-use through browser-based management and
integrated Linux operating system that has made the other members
of the NetMAX Internet appliance software servers so
successful.”

“The company will preview the new NetMAX VPN Server Suite in
booth No. 4123 in the “Linux Solutions Zone” at the Las Vegas
Networld+Interop (N+I) conference May 9-12. Retail and distribution
channel shipments of the $499 package are expected to begin in June
2000.”

“The NetMAX VPN Server Suite software is designed to appeal to
businesses wanting to establish secure Internet connections at a
reasonable cost. “The NetMAX VPN Server Suite delivers the power,
reliability and flexibility of Linux and Virtual Private Networking
without any headaches,” noted Cybernet’s Armando Pauker, vice
president of network products. “Companies can install and configure
a basic business Intranet with a few mouse clicks in as little as
15 minutes. VPNs used to be complex and cost tens of thousands of
dollars. Not any more.”
