“MSC.Software (MSC), the world’s leading developer of simulation
software, today reported results for the first quarter ended March
31, 2000. MSC reported revenue of $39.3 million, an increase of 28%
over 1999’s first quarter revenue of $30.7 million, exceeding
analyst’s expectations.”

“Our MSC.Linux division was established in January, and progress
to date has been meaningful. Strategic partnership agreements are
in place with Hewlett-Packard, SGI and NEC, and more key agreements
are expected. Customer pipeline activity is providing an early
confirmation that the Linux operating system will be an integral
part of our installed customer platform base.”

“MSC.Software is the world’s leading provider of simulation
software and services to major manufacturers worldwide. MSC’s
software and services are used to enhance and automate the product
design and manufacturing process through simulation, reducing
development costs, time to market and warranty costs.
MSC.Software is capitalizing on the advantages of the Linux
operating system for high performance computing, and the Web as a
complementary channel to product distribution.
