“Novas Software, Inc. (Novas), the technology leader in Verilog
and VHDL debugging, announced today that the company is entering
the electronic design collaboration market with nEwhere, a
product that enables design teams to work together using their
intranet and Internet connections.”

“nEwhere is based on the VNC (Virtual Network Computing), an
open-source technology distributed under the GNU General Public
License (GPL.) Novas has enhanced the product by adding
capabilities that improve team design and debug, including a chat
dialogue, a mark-up layer and enhanced performance.”

“Dale Pollek, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Novas
noted, “Open source software is not the core of our design debug
business, but it enhances our value for debugging teams by
expanding the Internet platform on which our commercial tools
run.”
