“Well, We’ve all tried the various Mozilla releases as they’ve
been coming out.. and have all looked forward to M13.. which (I
believe) translates into “Netscape 5 alpha”. It comes complete with
a browser, mail, and html composer. You can find it at the Mozilla
site.. but save them some bandwidth, and grab it from the main
Tucows Linux site.. or your closest mirror….”
“The browser looks really slick. On the left hand side there is
a table where you can list out “What’s Related”, “Search Results”,
“Tinderbox”, and “Bookmarks”. You can also use this for things like
“My Netscape”, or whatever you want apparently. See a (large screen
shot at the bottom of this page). Currently I’m using it for
bookmarks. I can see however, that this would be in the way on a
desktop running 800×600 or smaller. It’s handy that you can slide
it in and out for this reason.”
“Ok, so it looks nice.. how does it work? I loaded up
some of the sites I go to most often, and they all looked great! I
couldn’t find anything wrong with the way it displayed anything.
Not that I was expecting to have display problems, but last time I
used it, it did some funny things on some sites. I can now say that
I’m replacing my boggy Netscape 4.7 with M13. Even the fonts look
better than they do with Netscape.”
