Financial Post: Small players jostle for spot in Linux limelight, Corel on ‘garbage’ list

“Linux mania stalled yesterday for most of the high-flying
stocks in the red-hot sector, notably for Corel Corp., but
investors continued to bid prices dramatically higher for lesser
known firms….”

One analyst, who asked not to be named, said the recipe for
joining the Linux frenzy appeared simple: “Just issue a
Linux-related press release and watch your stock soar….

“In particular, Corel was included on an index of “garbage”
stocks on TheStreet.com’s site. These stocks, said writer Herb
Greenberg, are “stocks from yesteryear that had no biz rising then
and certainly, unless proven otherwise, have no biz rising
now.”
