“Scientific Computing Associates, Inc., a leader in
high-performance computing software, is pleased to announce that
Alta Technology, one of the fastest growing suppliers of parallel
computing systems, has joined The Linda Club, a new partnership
initiative for Beowulf resellers. The Linda Club allows resellers
to offer free to their customers a four-node Linux version of
Linda, SCIENTIFIC’s powerful programming language for parallel and
distributed computing, when bundled together with a Beowulf
cluster.”

Alta Technology, like SCIENTIFIC, offers a cost-effective,
reliable and user-friendly product to the customer.
Founded in
1989, Alta Technology has more than ten years of experience in the
distributed and parallel processing industry.”

“Alta continues to focus on developing the world’s most
user-friendly and highly functional distributed network computer
systems. Alta Technology’s products range from CPU and peripheral
boards to large distributed Linux-based network systems. Alta’s
R-Cluster and AltaCluster systems include the ACE cluster control
system and can implement the Global File System (GFS). Adding
LINDA, whose flexibility and power dramatically reduces the time it
takes to make productive use of Beowulf clusters, forms an
impressive and potent choice for the end-user.”
