Lutris to utilize investment to help increase industry
momentum of the Enhydra Application Server.

“Lutris Technologies, a leader in Open Source Java/XML
application server software and associated professional services,
today announced the successful completion of its Series B round of
financing. Investors in the current round include the Intel 64 Fund
and Trans Cosmos USA, a leading global strategic investment and
business development company with experience in helping Internet
companies expand into the Asian market. The investment brings the
round to a total of $15 million, with the original investment in
November 1999 from Chase Capital Partners and Chase H&Q,
formerly Hambrecht & Quist.”

“With its latest round of funding, Lutris has taken a major step
toward enabling itself to execute on its strategy for making its
Open Source application server product, Enhydra, a viable and
attractive option,” commented Steve Garone, Program Director for
Application Development & Deployment at International Data
Corporation. “If Lutris can successfully implement their promised
world-class support and services for Enhydra, and deliver a truly
enterprise-scalable product early this year, they’ll be well
positioned to become a serious player in the application server
market.”
