Company leverages new division to deliver certified OS via
CD and the Web.

“MSC.Linux Division of MSC.Software Corporation (MSC; NYSE:MNS),
the world’s leading developer of simulation software, today
announced the future release of a certified Linux OS distribution,
called MSC.Linux. MSC will utilize its extensive experience with
major hardware manufacturers’ existing practices to certify this
open source distribution, available via CD and on the web.”

“Initially, MSC.Linux will focus on high performance numerical
applications with a special emphasis on the use of distributed
memory parallel hardware, such as Beowulf clusters. These features
will accelerate the availability of Linux for high performance
computing systems at a very competitive price. In addition, MSC
will use its existing worldwide infrastructure to provide training,
