“Lutris Announces Customer Support and Training in Conjunction
with First Certified Version of Open Source JavaTM/XML
Application Server for Business-to-Business and
Business-to-Consumer Applications”

“Lutris Technologies Inc. today announced the immediate
availability of Lutris EnhydraTM Standard 3.0. Priced at
$99, it is the first supported and certified version of the Open
Source JavaTM/XML application server. The combination of
Open Source software and commercial support and services provides
consultants and corporate users with the control and flexibility of
an Open Source solution, plus the security of commercial support,
training, and documentation.”

“Shipping this first version of the Lutris Enhydra product
family marks another milestone for Lutris and a big change in the
application server market,” said Yancy Lind, president and CEO at
Lutris. “For the first time, consultants, Fortune 500 IT shops, and
system integrators alike can leverage the power of this
standards-based, all-Java, Open Source application server and be
assured of receiving the world class support and services they need
to be successful.”

“Open Source Software’s role is going to become more and more
important in situations in which services represent the real value
for customers,” said Jean-Christophe Cimetiere, analyst and CEO at
TechMetrix research. “Open Source is likely to attract new
supporters-or even be adopted-each time the business model
concerned is based on value-added service. Enhydra can benefit from
this since it is the most widely known Open Source Application
Server.”
