Yes, the issue of licensing has been a perennial problem for the
Free/Open Source desktop and I would suggest its biggest licensing
issue remains: the GPL.“As an author of several small GPL licensed bits of code and a
long time appreciator of what the GPL has accomplished, this is a
strange thing for me to say. I would like to say it is the right
license for just about any job…”
