PRNewswire: Insignia Signs MontaVista to Distribute Jeode Platform To Hardhat Linux Customers

“To capitalize on the emerging market for embedded Linux,
Insignia Solutions and MontaVista Software Inc. have reached an
agreement for MontaVista to distribute the Jeode platform to its
embedded Linux customers. MontaVista is the developer of the
HardHat Linux operating system for embedded applications.”

The MontaVista agreement represents the first step of
Insignia’s strategy to make the Jeode platform the premier Java
solution for Linux-based Internet appliances and embedded
devices.
Insignia intends to make additional announcements
supporting this strategy in the weeks ahead.”

Jim Ready, is a legend in the real-time embedded business,” said
Ron Workman, senior vice president of marketing for Insignia
Solutions. “We are very pleased they have selected the Jeode
platform to distribute to the fast-growing market for Linux-based
Internet appliances and embedded systems.”
