GNOME Themes Extras 0.3
GNOME THEMES EXTRAS ‘Our enchanter got enchanted by enchant’ 0.3
released
A new release of everyones favourite collection of theme
eyecandy is out. If you haven’t tested out g-t-e before there is no
excuse for not doing so now; prepare to get your desktop
beautificated! This release features a new terific new metatheme
called Amaranth and a host of other fixes and updates.
This release also include the Industrial theme engine from
Novell/Ximian, this means g-t-e binary packages package will get a
install conflict with the ximian-artwork package for user who use
Ximian GNOME. We recomend that people who use Ximian GNOME and
creates a RPM from this tarball install g-t-e using –force. Long
term we hope that Ximian will split industrial out of
ximian-artwork so we can have our RPM obsolete it.

Gossip 0.5
Imendio is happy to announce the release of Gossip 0.5. We have,
with help from others, added a couple of new features that will
help you use Gossip more efficiently. A lot of small bugs have been
fixed aswell.
Special thanks go out to Thomas Reynolds and Nicolas Peninguy
for helping with lots of bug fixing and the composing
notification.
What is Gossip?
Gossip aims at making Jabber easy to use and tries to give GNOME
users a real user friendly way of chatting with their friends. We
are not there yet but we are working hard on getting Gossip to be
the natural choice for people who want instant messaging without
fuzz.
What is new in 0.5?
Support for composing notification, don’t clear chat windows when
closing them and don’t pop up chat windows directly. Other smaller
changes include fixing nick completion, renaming contacts, as well
as some new translations (sr, sr@Latn, pt).
What is Jabber?
Jabber is an open instant messaging XML-based protocol. It can be
used instead of ICQ, AIM, MSN, … or together with them through
gateways (not supported in Gossip yet).
