Liferea 0.4.0

Application

Liferea 0.4.0

Description

Liferea (Linux Feed Reader) is an RSS/RDF news aggregator which
also supports CDF channels, Atom/Echo/PIE feeds, and OCS
directories. It’s intended to be a clone of the Windows-only
FeedReader. It can be used to maintain a list of subscribed feeds,
browse and search through their items, and displays their contents
using GtkHTML.

Enhancements

  • Feeds are now saved permanently, newly downloaded items are
merged with the old item list. To do so <item
rdf_about=”…”> and <guid> support was added. With this
finally implemented the program should now have the most important
    features for regular usage.
  • Liferea now support a two pane mode to view all items of a feed
    at once.
  • Added new items provided by mezz7.
  • The program now uses libxml’s xmlRecover* functions to read
    even buggy feeds.

Fixes

  • fixed bug 819959
  • fixed some output problems for OCS directories

gcalctool 4.3.15

Application

gcalctool

Description

gcalctool is the desktop calculator that’s in GNOME 2.4.

It has Basic, Financial and Scientific modes. Internally it uses
multiple precision arithmetic to produce results to a high degree
of accuracy.

This release is for the GNOME 2.4.1 call for tarballs.

Changes since the last version
(4.3.3).

  • Fixed bug 124172. The “+” character on a German keyboard is on
the lower level of a key (i.e. the Shift key doesn’t need to be
down). Added another mask/keysym pair to the “+” entry to handle
    this.
  • Fixed bug 120737. Changed the accessible text for the OR button
from “Logical OR” to “logical OR” so that it’s not changed by
FreeTTS’s token to words module to “logical Oregon”.
  • Fixed bug #123948. Removed the GTK_DISABLE_DEPRECATED flag to
allow the depreciated GtkItemFactory, to successfully build against
    latest Gtk+.
  • Fixed bug 123724. Hitting Esc now does the same as hitting
Control-Backspace; i.e. the CE (clear entry) functionality.
  • Fixed enhancement #65806. Changed that label for e^x (e
superscript x) to use an italised “e”.
  • Fixed bug 118826. The keyboard shortcuts for the six hex.
digits are now “A” to “F”. The functions that previously used those
letters have been reassigned to their lowercase equivalents.
  • Fixed bug 122408. The tooltips for the numeric buttons (0-9)
have been removed as they are redundant.
  • Fixed bug 120749. When gcalctool is displaying a menu, typing
Alt+Tab can no longer switch windows.
  • Fixed bug 120745 (http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=120745)
Accessible names have now been added to each of the widgets in the
mode panel when in Scientific mode.
  • Fixed bug 122373. The numeric radix char for the users locale
    is now derived using nl_langinfo().
  • Fixed bug 120605. Gcalctool debug messages are no longer
    translatable strings.

NOTE: The online help is currently out of date w.r.t. to the
(minor) changes needed to fix bug #118826. The gcalctool man pages
are correct though.

New translations (thankyou!)

“ta” (Tamil) – Fatih Demir
“fa” (Farsi) – Pablo Saratxaga
“hu” (Hungarian) – Andras Timar
