"LAND-5 Corporation announced today that it has certified ICP vortex Corporation's PCI RAID controllers with its Linux-based iceNAS software for network attached storage. Users can easily establish and manage up to 20TB of RAID storage from an Internet browser using the iceNAS graphical interface."

"LAND-5 markets three powerful network attached storage solutions, ranging in size from a 1U InstaNAS (a universal thin server) to the enterprise-level Storage Pod Plus that provides a complete high-performance answer for centralized network storage. All systems incorporate LAND-5's powerful iceNAS software that provides the ability to easily add network storage within 30 minutes without disrupting existing clients. Transparent file access is provided for Linux, UNIX and Windows clients, along with security functions."

"LAND-5 has fully tested and certified the ICP SCSI and Fibre Channel RAID controllers in its suite of NAS solutions. Compatibility includes ICP's Ultra160 SCSI controller (GDT7563RN) and a Fibre Channel controller (GDT7529RN), both with onboard cache memory for high performance. ICP has native support for RAID levels 0, 1, 5 and 10. The Ultra160 controller provides six data channels, while the fibre channel RAID controller supports two. Multiple RAID controllers (both SCSI and Fibre Channel) can be configured in LAND-5's high- end solution, the StoragePod Plus, which provides six PCI slots for flexibility and expansion."
