IBM Opens Up OpenWhisk for More Serverless Computing

IBM has had its OpenWhisk serverless technology available as a beta since February and is now expanding the effort with new Internet of Things (IoT) and node.js capabilities.

OpenWhisk is an open-source effort run by IBM and in the future it could become part of a larger open-source foundation, for example the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF).
