interest of the Linux operating system which is challenging
Microsoft's new Windows NT."
"Caldera Systems Inc. develops training and business programs
for the Linux operating system and is currently in negotiations
with IBM Corp., Compaq Computer Corp. and Oracle to create a
training alliance. If negotiations are successful with IBM,
computer makers Compaq and Oracle may follow, Caldera spokeswoman
Nancy Pomeroy said Monday."
"Sales of Caldera's packaged and tested Linux-based products
shot up in 1998 eclipsing 1997 sales by 240 percent, he said."
