"Linus Torvalds says he's not concerned about fragmentation in the Linux market, but he does have opinions about who is doing the best job of making money from the open source operating system he invented eight years ago."

"In an interview at Comdex/Spring in Chicago on Monday, Torvalds said he has two favourite Linux distributions among the dozens out there. 'I'm kind of wavering between Red Hat [Software Inc. ] and SuSe right now,' he said. 'The Linux distributors are doing things only slightly differently, but they're different enough that there is some real competition.'"
