OpenBSD 2.5 Shipping

May 24, 1999, 11:09 (0 Talkback[s])

"The OpenBSD project produces a FREE, multi-platform 4.4BSD-based UNIX-like operating system. Our efforts place emphasis on portability, standardization, correctness, security, and cryptography. OpenBSD supports binary emulation of most programs from SVR4 (Solaris), FreeBSD, Linux, BSDI, SunOS, and HPUX.

"The current release of OpenBSD is 2.5 which started shipping May 19, 1999. The CDs (and Shirts) can be ordered... OpenBSD is freely available from our FTP sites, and also available in an inexpensive 2-CD set. The costs of producing the CD sets have been underwritten by a grant from the USENIX Association."

Complete story.
