Network Studio (openunix.org) has released it's new BluePoint Linux preview edition. (code name: star)

"BluePoint" features:

  • Based on RedHat 6.0, with 100% compatibility.
  • Multi-lingual, multi-encoding support built in kernel.
    Currently supports the major two Chinese encodings: GB-2312 and BIG5. Diffrent encoded characters can co-exist on the same console.
  • Full NLS support.
    Most common packages have been translated to Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese, while other packages are on the way.
  • Based on CXWIN
    CXWIN is a patched X server with Chinese character input, output and detection functions. it's been enhanced by Network Studio for years.
