"Computer Associates International Inc. yesterday announced availability of Linux versions of Unicenter TNG enterprise management software, MasterIT Web server management software and Ingres II relational database management development platform."

"In an unusual offer for CA, the company is offering free 90-day licenses for Unicenter TNG for Linux users who set up for-fee maintenance agreements. The Unicenter TNG Framework comes bundled free with Linux from Caldera Inc. in Provo, Utah; Red Hat Software Inc. in Research Triangle Park, N.C.; SuSE Inc. in Oakland, Calif.; and Tokyo-based Pacific HiTech Inc. (TurboLinux). The company estimates there will be 4 million copies of Unicenter TNG for Linux in distribution within the year."
