"Gateway Inc. [NYSE:GTW] said today that it expects to roll out a version of its Amiga computer by early next year. The new version, Gateway says, will combine the earlier Amiga's ease of use with up-to-date information appliances like digital music players, set-top boxes and game machines."

"The new Amiga units should be available by January or February..."

"Late last month, Gateway... described two Amiga products that are under development: the Amiga Operating Environment (OE)... and the Amiga Multimedia Convergence Computer (MCC), a hardware and software platform that includes Internet access, digital video support, 3D graphics, broadband capabilities, and home networking standards.
