"Caldera Systems Inc. Wednesday announced that its flagship product, OpenLinux, has been certified Y2K-ready on Intel platforms by independent laboratory, KeyLabs, based in Lindon, Utah."
" 'Rather than merely testing a few command line utilities, our Y2K testing methodology tests forced, roll over, and data calculations across more than 150 base Linux packages running on Caldera OpenLinux 2.2 and soon to be released 2.3,' explained Matt Mace, director of quality assurance at KeyLabs.
Keylabs' testing suite included not only Y2K validation suites of both date and time for the roll over into the year 2000, but also leap year, leap day, and the successful calculation of days of the week and year-end rollover through 2035. Details of the test suite and the results are freely available at http://www.keylabs.com/caldera."
