"OK, so now the Gartner group has started bashing Linux? Oh well, I guess that means it will be a success. The general tone of all Gartner reports is "You can only survive by using Microsoft products". I am personally unsurprised that Gartner is now swinging its axe in the direction of Linux, after all it reminds me of another of their fabled reports from a couple of years back."
"Back then, Apple had just handed out Rhapsody DR1 (or DR2, I can't quite remember) at WWDC and work was starting to gear up on the new OS. Then Gartner, in their infinite wisdom published a report stating that Apple would "never" ship Rhapsody, the title: "Rhapsody: Another Unfinished Symphony for Apple?."
