"The final touches where placed on http://www.linuxmafia.org today the site was redesigned to provide a location to download third party packages and upgrades for Slackware 7 (trademark). In the past Slackware has been known not to keep up with the software after the inital release.

This site aims at providing a means to keep Slackware 7 uptodate and a way to add other programs to it through the use of pkgtool the package management system that comes with Slackware. Currently 96 packages are available for download and its growing every day.

What makes the site unique is that packages are spread around the net the site just gives people a means to find them and for creators to post them. People can also subscribe to the mailing list to receive notices of new packages as they become available.

In addtion to the package system there are many contributed help/howto's available as well as links to the LDP archive and other assorted Slackware resources."

You may find LinuxMafia here.
