As a university sys admin, I find that users are constantly asking
about ways to protect against accidental file deletion. It stresses
me out when they just don't know how to properly back up or protect
their data. What can be done?..."
I've got a big project that I compile every few hours, and when I
run "make", I know it'll be going for a while. I've been developing
it for weeks so I've almost gotten used to the slowdown -- it bogs
my whole system a bit, makes it hard to read man pages or play
nethack or anything while it chugs away.
Is there any way I can get it to be less of a pig?
