"inuxppc.org, the home of the Linux/PPC project, is rallying Linux/PPC users to convince RealNetworks to develop its software for the Linux/PPC platform. As Linux on PowerPC has risen in popularity, and due to the number of websites that still don't provide mp3 support, the community demand for Real's software has risen accordingly. What we need to do now is focus it with a letter-writing campaign."

"An answer (12/11/99):"

"We have received an answer from RealNetworks, in which they basically say that they are strongly considering a Linux/PPC port, but that it would involve more than just a simple recompile. The text is below. At this point I think we can bring this campaign to a close. We've done all that we can do, which is ask RealNetworks to consider Linux/PPC as a platform worth porting their software to. Whatever happens now is up to them."
