"While Microsoft's (MSFT) low-margin Windows line is losing
ground to GNU/Linux-based operating systems, its browser may too
face a challenge from an open-source rival: Mozilla. A band of
Mozilla programmers released the "M12 build" on Thursday, a
pre-alpha version of their browser, which boasts a fast,
standards-compliant page rendering feature and an instant-messaging
client based on the ubiquitous Internet Relay Chat protocol.
