"Tools and middleware vendor Inprise Corp. last week said the
next version of its database, Interbase 6, will support both Linux
and Sun Microsystems Inc.'s Solaris operating systems. The software
so far supports only Microsoft Corp.'s Windows and Novell Inc.'s
NetWare operating systems."

stands for, the company also plans to open the Interbase source
code, executives said."
