"Linux distributor Caldera will launch a new version of its software later this spring for corporate desktops, in an attempt to head off Corel's progress in this still-tiny market for Linux-based systems.
Caldera chief executive Ransom Love said the company would release a version of its OpenLinux product, rebranded OpenLinux eDesktop, near the end of March.
Although Caldera officials would provide few details on the upgrade, they did say that it would include an Independent Computing Architecture (ICA) client so that users can connect to Citrix's MetaFrame software to run Windows and Unix applications. An ICA client is already available for Linux, but must be downloaded separately."
