"In c't 3/2000 was a story on Halloween Linux version 4, which is a German distro and based on Red Hat. According to c't it works very well for Germans as the configurations are adapted to the German market. The price is about $ 20.

A german description can be found at http://www.ixsoft.de/software/products/IXHL0400CD.html. Try Babelfish for an English translation.

On the website I found Red Linux, also based on Red Hat. I don't have more information than you can see yourself at http://www.ixsoft.de/software/products/SARL0800BU.html. Also in German, of course. The home page of Red Linux can be found at http://www.red-linux.de/. Please don't be confused by this name because of the RED-Linux (Real-time and Embedded Linux) project at the University of California."
