"In a move to further demonstrate its commitment to supporting Linux as an embedded operating system, I-Logix today announced a strategic partnership with MontaVista Software, the developer of Hard Hat(TM) Linux for embedded applications. Through this partnership, I-Logix will support MontaVista's Hard Hat Linux embedded operating system as a target for code developed in its Rhapsody(TM) application development platform. In addition, MontaVista will provide its customers with access to Rhapsody, enabling them to quickly and efficiently leverage Linux as an embedded operating system to reduce development costs and overall time-to-market."

"As part of the agreement, I-Logix and MontaVista will work together on a number of levels including sales, marketing and development. I-Logix has committed to developing embedded Linux support into its Rhapsody application development platform, allowing software developers to leverage the open-source embedded operating system with no royalties, to produce higher quality code with lower development costs. In addition, trial versions of Rhapsody and Hard Hat Linux will be cross-bundled with shipping versions of each product, providing customers with an opportunity to experience the power of these combined products."
