"Shares of Caldera Systems, a developer of services and software for the Linux operating system, jumped 110 percent in its IPO, but its gains were a far cry from the stellar performances of other Linux stock offerings...."

"Ransom Love, president and CEO of Caldera, said he was pleased with the company's performance in its debut as a publicly traded company."
