BW: Linuxcare Seals Agreement With PFU to Provide Linux Technical Service and Support in Japan...

"PFU LIMITED and Linuxcare, Inc., a leader in providing comprehensive services for Linux and open-source software, today announced an agreement to provide in-depth Linux technical support for PFU engineers and expand PFU's suite of multi-vendor support and service offerings."

"Under the terms of this agreement, Linuxcare provides backline service and support to PFU engineers while PFU provides quality Linux support services for additional Linux distributions and hardware platforms with the aid of Linuxcare's vast worldwide experience and technical expertise. PFU will provide services including, system configuration, helpdesk services, and hardware maintenance for customers, regardless of the hardware platform or operating system."

"PFU provides additional multi-vendor support and services 24x7 at over 130 locations throughout Japan. Under cooperation with Fujitsu, PFU began providing its Linux support services, including system configuration, product certification, installation, and helpdesk service for FUJITSU'S GRANPOWER 5000 Series, an IA Server, introduced in May 1999, and the FMV Desktop Series, FUJITSU's PC for business users, introduced in July, 1999. Linux support services are provided in cooperation with FUJITSU."
