"Lutris Technologies has announced its latest Lutris-certified and supported version of the Open Source Enhydra Java/Extensible Markup Language (XML) application server. Upon its release set for June, the Lutris Enhydra Professional 3.0 is slated to include an integrated suite of development and deployment tools, said Lutris spokesperson Susan Turner."

"Lutris, an Open Source enterprise software and services company, also is behind the currently available Lutris Enhydra Standard. Turner said that the Lutris Enhydra Enterprise is scheduled for release in the fall. The professional version includes an integrated suite of tools that are designed to accelerate development and deployment of Enhydra applications, and provide support for wireless applications development by offering documentation and customer support."

"The Enhydra Professional 3.0 includes a wireless development tutorial and a wireless development kit packed with the YoSpace Wireless Markup Language (WML) browser Turner called, "an all-Java Nokia phone emulator," and the WAPtor WML editor. "Using these tools," Turner added, "developers can build applications that transparently support varied devices such as PCs, phones, personal digital assistants (PDAs), and kiosks."
