"In conjunction with today's Hewlett-Packard technology
alliance announcement, Dirig Software today announced the immediate
availability of its Linux management solutions based on the new
release of Proctor, version 1.71, and Dirig's Apache SAM (specific
application manager). Version 1.7.1 also adds support for
FreeBSD and BSDi to its already robust management solutions for
Solaris and Windows NT markets. Capable of managing any
distribution of Linux, Dirig management solutions include bundles
for service providers, enterprise and dot com environments.
Internet Appliance vendors, ISVs, systems integrators and
e-solutions companies can offer "Dirig-able" solutions, providing
their customers with built-in management technology to ensure up
time and availability."
"Major OEM and Alliance partners such as HP see our technology
as critical to their Linux management strategy", said Robert Hoyt,
President and CEO of Dirig Software. "With Linux dominating the
Internet and service provider markets, the need for robust,
heterogeneous system and application management is critical. Dirig
continues to lead the applications and system management space for
Linux with products and solutions available today."
