"Transmeta Corporation announced today that four PC manufacturers, Fujitsu, Hitachi, IBM and NEC, are showing technology demonstrations of ultralight notebooks based on the Crusoe processor in its booth at PC Expo this week."
"PC OEMs see the value in Crusoe's low power technology for ultralight notebooks," said Jim Chapman, senior vice president of sales and marketing at Transmeta Corporation. "We are excited about their progress and expect to see a rich mix of all day battery life and/or low power multimedia features that Crusoe helps enable as part of their product offering in the near future."
"The Crusoe processor provides the potential for lightweight notebooks to deliver up to eight hours of battery life with all the functionality users expect."
