"SF Interactive, a e-marketing services firm, declared the Open Source community "It" by releasing its TagTemplate Website building software as Open Source."

"The software tool is being released as Open Source in the tradition of Web development as a collaborative enterprise, according to a company release. TagTemplate allows modular Web site development and maintenance, separating front-end text design and updates from back-end scripting and database programming."

"This is the company's first Open Source release. SF Interactive's other software, designed for purposes such as media tracking and optimization, is still currently licensed."
