". . . and the Editor says: big deal. Well, I suppose it is something to be happy about for me but not really all that exciting for readers. So this article will be a brief look at the best of OutRider in the last year, some of the stuff that I have been able to do as a result of OutRider and the obligatory "what the future may hold" bit."

"In the last year the following articles have generated the most interaction from readers which speaks much more than hits alone:

  1. The Text Based Interface: By far this article generated the most feedback, the most discussion and was perhaps the most misconstrued. Many readers thought it was about why a text based interface was superior to graphical ones when it was not. oh well.
  2. An Overview of the /proc Filesystem: A lot of people liked this article for the information (which at the time was sort of hard to get). To be honest, many of the outbound links are better.
  3. User Management Commands: Alot of readers gave me a quick "Thanks for the reference dude" - you are most certainly welcome.
  4. Source Code Typesetting Practices: I got a lot of great ideas from this article. Many readers really enjoyed sharing their ideas about typesetting source, I definitely enjoyed the interaction in this article.
  5. X Window Managers: I was somewhat surprised since this article was so short, I am guessing most people used it as a reference."

"Well, that is all cool to talk about the best, but I am not above the worst of OutRider!..."
