Re-Imagining Linux Platforms to Meet the Needs of Cloud Service Providers

"The best place to see the Linux fan following is at the
LinuxWorld. People from all over the world were here in the San
Jose Convention Center to attend this mega event. Some of us (that
includes me too) traveled thousands of miles to get here. The
entire town had Linux painted on it, the hotels were full, parking
lots were getting filled up faster than before and generally the
buzz words were Linux, Linux and Linux."
"The first key note address was give by Michael Dell, chairman
and CEO of Dell. He did his presentation on Linux using the Eizel
desktop which was a cool thing to. He also got one of his Linux
customers - Toyota, to give a demo of how they use Linux."
"Immediately after Dell's keynote, Linus Torvalds came on stage
to give the awards. The IDG/Linus Torvalds community award of
25,000$ went to Debian. Another major boost for Debian was that
nice looking Debian boxes were available for free - thanks to their
sponsors. After the awards I had this wonderful opportunity of
meeting up with Linus Torvalds. He with his Penguin Smile spoke for
nearly an hour about the future of Linux."
